Ok, so my tickets are booked and paid for. I had to tinker around with a bunch of possibilities, flights, connections etc. It's a little more challenging because I'm flying non revenue, which means I"m stand by for every flight. Below is the flight agenda that will take me to the other half of the world:
Carrier Flight From To Departure Time Arrival Time
DL 1241 GSP ATL 04Jan 06:20AM 04Jan 07:22AM
DL 1555 ATL LAX 04Jan 08:20AM 04Jan 10:28AM
DL 0283 LAX NRT 04Jan 12:10PM 05Jan 05:00PM
DL 0295 NRT BKK 06Jan 06:05PM 06Jan 11:40PM
DL 0296 BKK NRT 02Feb 05:45AM 02Feb 01:40PM
DL 0058 NRT SFO 02Feb 03:35PM 02Feb 08:15AM
DL 1880 SFO ATL 03Feb 10:40PM 04Feb 06:07AM
DL 5236 ATL GSP 04Feb 08:21AM 04Feb 09:28AM
As you see its going to be kind of crazy. I will have a 23 hour layover in Tokyo which is pretty cool.
Once I arrive in Bangkok I will have 26 days in Thailand. If I have time I will try to go to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for a couple days. Flights are about $65 each way. Anyway, more travel agenda to follow. At least I have some definite framework work within.
Returning west to east is kind of interesting. If you look at the flight from Tokyo to SFO I actually arrive earlier than I take off.
I am flying through San Francisco to see some buddies that are living and working in northern California. I am taking the red eye home so that will give me about 2 days to hang out with them.
I do have to give mad props to my most excellent friend Alexander...for this would have not been possible without his help. Thanks brah...
So thats all for now. Time to read up and research more...
